Tencent reports nearly $ 500 million from ‘Honor of Kings’ and ‘PUBG Mobile’ in April

Tencent’s “Honor of Kings” and “PUBG Mobile” were the two top-grossing mobile games in the world in April.

Last month, “Honor of Kings,” a multiplayer fighting game developed by Tencent’s Timi Studio, achieved $ 258.8 million in revenue, up 38.4% year-on-year. ‘another, retaining its position as the world’s most profitable mobile game for two consecutive months, according to SensorTower.

About 96% of gaming revenue in April came from mainland China, with Thailand and Taiwan the second and third largest contributors to revenue with 1.7% and 1.2% respectively.

‘PUBG Mobile,’ a battle royale mobile game developed by Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studio, came in second with revenue of $ 237.7 million, of which nearly 60% came from mainland China, followed by the United States with 11%.

In the first quarter of this year, Tencent take part in 31 gaming investment deals, accounting for nearly a third of all investment deals made during the period, according to a report by Chinese company Qichacha news provider.
