Square Enix could do Final Fantasy 16 a disservice

Final Fantasy fans are really looking forward to the franchise’s next leg in Final Fantasy 16, but there are some surprising hurdles ahead.

Square Enix hasn’t said much about Final Fantasy 16 recently. Fans expected him to appear at E3, but surprisingly, that was not the point of Square Enix’s presentation. Still, gamers are eager to learn more about Final Fantasy 16 and what kind of adventure awaits them in Valisthea, yet another new world in the ever-growing line of fantastic worlds that make up the beloved IP. One can only hope that no news is good news as Final Fantasy 16 is concerned, because Square Enix may simply want to focus on development rather than advertising. Since there is no official release date for the game yet, it wouldn’t be surprising if advertising isn’t Square Enix’s priority right now.

However, if that’s the case, some of Square Enix’s other plans raise questions. One would expect that Final Fantasy 16 would be its focus as the next chapter of the Final fantasy franchise, but it is not. In fact, there is an almost overwhelming amount of Final fantasy current projects. While this is great for the PI as a whole, one wonders if this will back down. Final Fantasy 16 whatever sort of. After all, it might be difficult for fans to focus on this new entry when they have so many new options when it comes to Final fantasy Games.

The many new entries in Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy Origin Garland

There is a lot going on in the world of Final fantasy at present. On the one hand, there is Final Fantasy 7 remake in the minds of fans of the franchise. The first part of the remake was a huge success, as was the PS5 port, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. Many fans are still talking about this high-quality return to one of the most famous entries in the Final fantasy franchise. After all, fans are still waiting for the second part of the remake and wondering how Square Enix will reframe the second half of this game’s iconic story.

Square Enix is also working on a new spin-off of Final Fantasy 7. He jumps on the battle royale trend with Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier, where players compete against each other for the chance to be a SOLDIER candidate, a crucial part of Final Fantasy 7. This game basically serves as a prequel to the original game, set 30 years before Final fantasy 7 and introduce new knowledge on how the SOLDIER program works. It’s interesting how the success of the remake inspired Square Enix to delve deeper into this particular universe.

Final fantasy 7 doesn’t get the full attention of Square Enix, however. Instead of focusing on Final Fantasy 16 at E3 2021, Square Enix revealed Stranger From Heaven: Final Fantasy Origin. Stranger from paradise is interesting in several ways, both to focus on Soulslike gameplay and to have some notable ties to the first one Final fantasy Game. Thanks to the PS5 demo, Stranger from paradise already has a dedicated following of fans who are eager to pick up the game upon its release. It will be interesting to see how this new title reflects on the future of the franchise and which of its innovations becomes influential in the long run.

Where is Final Fantasy 16?

Clearly the Final fantasy IP is doing well for itself. Square Enix has a lot of ideas and wants to keep pushing an already successful IP in as many new directions as possible. Trying new things and adding more stories is good overall, but one wonders if this is the most effective way to reinforce Final fantasythe central games of. Concretely, it seems risky to flood the market with so many Final fantasy titles when Final Fantasy 16 is already in development. Square Enix would obviously hate to see Final Fantasy 16 tripping at launch if fans are distracted by Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 or Stranger From Heaven: Final Fantasy Origin, although that seems like a possibility.

There might be something to be learned from Square Enix that casts such a wide net. Perhaps Final Fantasy 16 is further than expected. Again, Square Enix hasn’t confirmed anything about its release window, so fans can only speculate on when. Final Fantasy 16 will release. If Square Enix has so many new games related to this IP that are slated to be released in the near future, then maybe they are slated to come out long before. Final Fantasy 16. Fans might only know about the new game because Square Enix wanted to assure the community that a brand new game is in development while it tinkers with a few spinoffs and prequels.

The alternative is a little hard to imagine. Giving Final Fantasy 16 so little room to breathe could prove to be a major burden if he’s really supposed to get out soon. In addition, it seems impractical in general to spend so much Final fantasy know-how to so many different projects at once, rather than focusing on Final Fantasy 16 or Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 alone. Square Enix must have a carefully measured release schedule in mind that will give fans enough time to play and discuss each of its new projects in turn.

Final Fantasy 16 is the future of the franchise

The bottom line of Final fantasythe situation is that Final Fantasy 16 may have the most power in determining where the franchise goes from here. Square Enix doesn’t seem to want to stay Final fantasy 7s’universe if it continues the normal numbered entries. Inevitably, Final fantasy will fall back into the model of traveling to new worlds and telling new stories. The problem is, that really doesn’t seem like Square Enix’s priority at the moment. It looks like the studio is unexpectedly taking their time to move the core franchise forward and want to take a moment to experiment with new ideas.

In the end, there is a good chance that Final Fantasy 16The strange situation of will only be a setback in the legacy of the franchise. Again, Final Fantasy 16 could be so far away that it won’t interfere with each other at all Final fantasy games and vice versa. So many other studios announced their biggest games years in advance that it wouldn’t be strange for Square Enix to do the same. Final Fantasy 16 looks like another fascinating world worth exploring, so hopefully fans don’t have to wait too many years to play it. If they do, at least there will be plenty more Final fantasy happy to play while waiting.

Final Fantasy 16 is in development for PS5.
