Minecraft Dungeons uses merchants in the game. Merchants are non-player characters (NPCs) from which players can buy and trade items in exchange for emeralds. Merchants can be found in different areas, and each merchant has a different set of goods in their inventory. These can be used to buy all kinds of weapons, armor, and other items for players.
There are six merchants in total and at one point or another players will have to find and buy something from them. Here’s where to find them all and what players can expect from them.
Where to find all Minecraft Dungeons merchants
The first trader is the black-smith, a merchant who can upgrade player items, whether weapons or armor. The blacksmith will appear in the camp after being rescued by a player from Redstone Mines. He can spawn in the Camp or in the Shattered Citadel.
The luxury merchant is another merchant who can sell unique items to the hero. The merchant will be the only place to find certain items, many of which are of the same quality as boss loot. Once players collect the merchant, it will appear in the Cacti Canyon camp. He can spawn there, in the camp or in the Shattered Citadel.
The mystery merchant appears in the camp after being saved by the player inside a ship in Pumpkin Pastures. This merchant sells mystery loot crates to the player, so it’s unclear what he might get from them. He can spawn in Pumpkin Pastures, Camp, or Shattered Citadel.
The village merchant will appear in the camp after being saved by the player in Creeper Woods. He sells common and rare items to the player and can appear in Creeper Woods and the Minecraft Dungeons camp.
The gift wrap merchant allows players to donate weapons, armor, or other artifacts to other players on their side. He appears in the camp after being rescued by the hero in the soggy swamp. He can spawn there, in the camp or in the Shattered Citadel.
The final merchant is the piglet merchant, who is a merchant who sells golden equipment to players and uses gold as currency rather than emeralds. He appears in the camp inside a cave right next to a Nether portal, after the hero has obtained a gold coin by completing an ancient hunt.
