Funky Legend of Zelda Fan Art Imagines Cyberpunk 2077 Inspired Link


An imaginative gamer merges The Legend of Zelda and Cyberpunk 2077, reimagining the hero of Hyrule with high-tech weapons into spectacular fan art.

A creative gamer carried Link from Nintendo THE Legend of Zelda in the world of CD Projekt Red Cyberpunk 2077.

The awesome image, which was posted on Reddit by artist Gray Shuko, combines the colorful and cartoonish tones of THE Legend of Zelda with a grainy, sci-fi aesthetic. The Hero of Hyrule sports a riot shield, energy pack, and tech sword and visor in place of his traditional fantasy armor.

Upon closer inspection, fans might be able to see that Link is in fact wearing V’s jacket, which was widely seen in promotional material for Cyberpunk 2077. A Triforce symbol can be spotted on the shoulder while Link’s standard Breath of the wild the tunic is shown below.


Created by Takashi Tezuka and Shigeru Miyamoto, THE Legend of Zelda is one of the most iconic and beloved video game franchises of all time. The overall story centers on the many reincarnations of titular Princess Zelda and Link as they battle demon king Ganon. The original game was released in 1986 while the most recent title, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, debuted in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. The highly anticipated sequel of 2017 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is expected to launch in 2022.

Released in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing game set in the open world of Night City, directed by Adam Badowski. Players take on the role of V, a customizable mercenary, who is haunted by the ghost of rebel rock icon Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves) after work around a priceless biochip goes awry.

While the game has received critical praise from critics for its graphics and setting, it has also come under heavy criticism for its portrayal of transgender characters and, most notably, for its many, many bugs. The development team behind Cyberpunk 2077 have worked to address the multitude of issues since its release and according to CD Projekt President Red Adam KiciÅ„ski, “We believe in the long term Cyberpunk 2077 will be seen as a great game, and like our other titles it will sell for years to come, especially as the hardware gets more powerful over time and as we improve the game. “


There have been several other fan-made content work recently done for the two. THE Legend of Zelda and Cyberpunk 2077 beyond Gray Shuko’s cyberpunk reinvention of Link. An artistic fan has drawn a stunning series of illustrations to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. As for Cyberpunk 2007, a group of coders have created a mod that allows players to see their in-game character having sex with Johnny, much to Reeves’ enjoyment.

A large number of THE Legend of Zelda the games are available on Nintendo Switch while Cyberpunk 2077 is playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Native versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S are slated to launch in 2022.
