The Wolf Barding is a cool and fierce Chocobo outfit in Final Fantasy XIV that can be earned by participating in PvP related activities.
The Wolf Barding is a chocobo armor set in Final Fantasy XIV, featuring a sinister Daedric-style design that pairs exceptionally well with the new Archfiend outfit. As its name suggests, the Barding gives its Chocobo a ferocious wolf-like appearance, complete with a large furry tail and even lupine-like ears. The wisps of hair covering the bard are finished in a slightly purplish hue. The helmet is adorned with a pointed and rock hairstyle in FFXIV which conceals the Chocobo’s eyes while accentuating the wild fangs protruding from the helmet’s mouth.
To get the wolf bard Final Fantasy XIV, Warriors of Light will need to participate in PvP activities to earn a new currency called Trophy Crystals. This currency is not earned by playing matches, but rather acquired through the Battle Pass-like system known as Series Malmstones. For example, earning 2,000 XP will grant players the first streak tier for their seasonal Malmstones.
Naturally, obtaining Wolf Barding will require Final Fantasy XIV adventurers to unlock PvP if they haven’t already. PvP becomes available after reaching level 30 with a Disciple of War or Magic Job, regardless of MSQ progression. To start, accept “A puppy is no more” by speaking to one of the designated quest givers at his Great Company headquarters in FFXIV. This will unlock Crystalline Conflict, one of the newly updated modes for the current PvP season. Those looking for more varied pursuits can also complete the other two side quests, “Like civilized men and women” and “Earn your wings.”
Unlock Wolf Barding in FFXIV
The Wolf Bard in FFXIV can be purchased from the Crystal Quartermaster at Wolves’ Den Pier for 1,000 Trophy Crystals, which equals a single level in the Malmstones series. A typical PvP match lasts around 15-30 minutes, depending on wait time and skill level of teammates and opponents. Therefore, earning 1000 Trophy Crystals from a streak level should take a Warrior of Light around several hours to unlock the Barding, depending on their commitment and availability.
The best way to earn PvP related XP in Final Fantasy XIV is by completing the Daily Roulette in the Duty Finder. This activity will always reward players with an abundance of XP and other currencies. Therefore, Daily Roulette is the perfect choice for those who want to acquire the seasonal rewards of the Malmstones series relatively quickly without spending a lot of time grinding for a sit-in.
