Final Fantasy 7 First Soldier Reveals Closed Beta Details


Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier expands the Final Fantasy universe again in the form of a new Battle Royale-style experience that introduces some of the franchise’s key concepts to the popular genre. The game will launch on mobile later this year, but you can sign up to try it out early during the closed beta test, and all you have to do is sign up through Google play here. The Closed Beta will only be available on Android devices, and you can sign up by May 28 to be a part of it. As for the full version, it will be free to play on Android and iOS devices.

During a recent live stream of the game, Square Enix revealed new gameplay details regarding The First Soldier and showed a lot of new footage, and a lot of Final Fantasy building blocks are there, including Espers, Chocobos, Materia, etc. You’ll quickly clear obstacles while looking to beat the competition, as the map continues to get closer.

We also saw that you wouldn’t just be facing off against opposing players, as monsters roam the city as well. You will be able to face them to gain XP, which in turn will allow you to level up and get new weapons, although the monsters can also find you at the wrong time during a fierce battle, so you will have to do pay attention to your surroundings at all times.
