Endwalker Early Access launches at 4:00 a.m. ET on December 3

It will be officially launched four days later

In a confusing turn of events for some, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Early Access kicks off this Friday, December 3 at 1:00 a.m. PT / 4:00 a.m.ET. To be clear, early access is provided to people who pre-order and are given an early access code to enter into the Mogstation system (FFXIVversion of Battle.net, basically). So if you want to participate, be sure to put away your ducks and get the code in advance.

If you are confused or things are changing, just remember that this official page will have the updated early access time, as well as instructions on where to enter the code if you haven’t already.

Here’s a breakdown of how it all goes for Endwalker early access, from December 2:

  • On December 2 at 4 a.m.ET, server maintenance will begin and follow a 24-hour cycle (the current iteration of the game will be down, and Mogstation will be down during this time as well, along with the news site and the companion app go down a little after).
  • On December 3 at 4:00 am ET, server maintenance will end and the game will be provisionally live (with the Mogstation reopening an hour later at 5:00 am ET).
  • December 7 Endwalker will be officially launched beyond the early access period.

As someone who’s been there for every Early Access, expect it to get messy, especially around 8-10 a.m. ET when everyone on the European side leaves work and the United States wakes up (which whatever your datacenter, people are all playing in all regions). If you want to secure a seat and avoid the connection lines, it’s a good idea to get up early and enter.
