Dungeons & Dragons movie adds shadow and bone daisy head

Daisy Head joined Paramount’s Dungeons and dragons movie. Due date reports as the British actress, who plays Genya Safin in Netflix Shadow and bone, has joined an already star-studded cast that includes Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Rege-Jean Page, Judge Smith, Hugh Grant and Sophia Lillis. No further details have been revealed about his role in the Dungeons and dragons movie. Head has appeared in films like Underworld: Blood Wars and the Hulu series The prostitutes.

the Dungeons and dragons movie is an adaptation of the popular fantasy tabletop role-playing game played by millions of people around the world. Details are scarce on the film, but eOne Entertainment and Paramount have revealed that the film is set in the Forgotten Realms, the best-known of D&D many worlds. It’s unclear if the film will adapt one of the many adventures or novels set in the Forgotten Realms or if it’s a whole new story. The film is co-directed and co-written by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, directors of Game night and the writers of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Dungeons and dragons has had a long and winding road to production. After a critically-bombarded 2000 film adaptation (but still spawned straight-to-video sequels), various studios have launched a new Dungeons and dragons film project for years. While Paramount and Hasbro’s Allspark Pictures took over the project in 2017, it wasn’t until 2019 that the film finally gained momentum when Goldstein and Daley joined the project. The film was originally slated for release in 2021, but Paramount has moved the film to the summer of 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More recently, Dungeons and dragons its release date was postponed to March 2023 as studios rescheduled films to take advantage of the reopening of theaters around the world.

Paramount and eOne hope that Dungeons and dragons becomes the next great fantasy franchise. In addition to the upcoming film, eOne is also working on several other live-action Dungeons and dragons projects, including a TV show by John wick creator John Kolstad. It’s possible that Project Kolstad will feature Drizzt Do’Urden, the iconic drow ranger who has appeared in several novels and video games, but even that is based on the skinniest of Hasbro teases.
