Diablo 4 reveals new dungeon details and gameplay footage

Diablo 4 Developer Blizzard Entertainment has revealed a ton of new dungeon information that will be featured in the latest entry in the long-running action series. Even though it’s been a while since we’ve seen Diablo 4 shown in a major way, Blizzard has continued to release new blogs regularly that further explain what fans can expect from the project. Now, with the release of the latest quarterly blog, Blizzard has detailed how dungeons will be implemented.

In total, Blizzard revealed in this news blog that he plans to add over 150 total dungeons to Diablo 4. Blizzard Associate Art Director Brian Fletcher went into more detail about what dungeons will have in store compared to what the franchise has featured in the past.

“Dungeons are still that randomized content you know and love from previous Diablo titles. However, we’ve added exciting new features that allow us to create even more dungeons across the world of Sanctuary than ever before,” said Fletcher. “In order to support over 150 dungeons, we had to change the way we create environment art so that it was flexible enough to be used in multiple locations and not just in a single dungeon. […] It takes a lot of hard work from many teams to create a dungeon, and we’re proud to show you what we’ve been working on.”

Blizzard then gave fans a taste of some of these dungeons in a handful of different gameplay videos that were released. These videos, which are only about a minute long, are simply meant to show the different environments that Diablo 4 dungeons will be present. However, they continue to show us that Diablo 4 presents itself quite well, especially when it comes to artistic design. You can watch one of those videos attached above, if you’re interested.

For now, Diablo 4 still does not have a release date. Whenever it eventually arrives, however, it’s expected to land on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox hardware.

What do you think Diablo 4 based on everything Blizzard has shown so far? Do you think this will be a worthy sequel to the fan favorite Diablo 3? Let me know in the comments or you can message me on Twitter at @MooreMan12.
