The developers of Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance have revealed that local co-op is coming to the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X / S versions of the game.
The developers of Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance revealed that the game will receive local split-screen co-op in a post-launch update. The launch version of the game will feature both single player and online multiplayer modes.
Black alliance is an upcoming action RPG that stars the Companions of the Hall, who are among the most famous heroes of the D&D Forgotten Realms campaign setting. The story follows Drizzt Do’Urden, who must return to the frozen lands of Icewind Dale. There is once buried an ancient magical artifact, under an avalanche, in order to keep its power out of the hands of those who would use it for evil. The titular “Dark Alliance” refers to the group seeking to free the artifact and steal its power. Drizzt and his allies must fight an entire army of monsters in order to prevent them from claiming the artifact.

The only way to play Black alliance with friends at launch is done via its online multiplayer, which can support up to four players. The developers addressed the lack of local cooperation during a recent livestream, which was described in an article on the official website. Black alliance Twitter. Local two-player split-screen co-op will come to the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X / S versions of the game this summer. If the announcement is to be believed, the local cooperative will be the “main priority. “
I just announced on the Dev Stream: We heard you loud and clear.
Following the launch of Dark Alliance, our top priority is to support 2-player split-screen co-op mode for Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

The distinction regarding the game versions means that the update will not come on the PS4 or Xbox One versions of Black alliance. This is most likely due to hardware limitations, as the split screen can be a huge waste of resources. It’s a shame that the local co-op isn’t featured in all versions of the game, but that might not be doable on old hardware.
It has also been revealed that the update will be released with the first free DLC for the game. This wording suggests that paid DLC is coming in the future, not counting the existing pre-order bonuses available for the game. It is possible that more characters arrive in the game, like others Legend of Drizzt characters (like Artemis Entreri or Jarlaxle), or other characters from the Forgotten Realms (like Minsc du Baldur’s Gate series). There are also a lot of possibilities to add new dungeons and monsters. Friends will be able to discuss this new content together, once the co-op update launches this summer.
