Although they have since died out, Vin Diesel memes have had a good run in video games. The liberation of F9 saw a new batch of meme material hit the internet, and it wasn’t long before fans popped it up in several video game franchises, talking about family. Vin Diesel memes hit the nail on the head God of the war, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Elder Scrolls, Nier Automata, Mass Effect, And much more.
A video game seemingly and / or largely untouched by the new wave of memes has been Cyberpunk 2077. Oddly enough, with the Aldecados nomads emphasizing being a family, Vin Diesel would fit right in. Yet it may be because Cyberpunk 2077 already has its own Vin Diesel, and its name is Panama.
Cyberpunk 2077 Panam Palmer vs. Dom Toretto from Fast and Furious
Fast and furious is a beloved franchise, with simple themes and lessons. Each film is about raising the stakes, driving fast cars in dangerous situations, and surviving on family. Each of the aforementioned Vin Diesel memes focused on the importance of family, in sometimes cheesy situations. He made the best meme material because of the way families of some sort appear in several video games.
Often, however, these don’t have a Dom Toretto figure of speech that pushes the idea of ââfamily this far. Cyberpunk 2077 is the exception, because Panam Palmer is a makeover Dom Toretto. Dom likes racing and fast cars, just like Panam. Dom was an auto mechanic, as was Panama. Dom did elaborate stunts, and the Aldecados in Cyberpunk 2077 were perfect at this, ranging from Basilisk Heist to Arasaka Tower Plot.
Of course, the world and the setting are far removed from each other in terms of style, because Fast and furious is more set in the real world, but there are even similarities there. Elaborate plots involving high street people, heists that seem out of this world, corrupt government (or corporate) affairs, and more are present in both Cyberpunk 2077 and Fast and furious.
For example, F9 includes Project Aries which is capable of hacking any computer in the world. Sounds pretty Cyberpunk, even if it’s not as fleshed out as Cyberpunk 2077 himself. Put simply, when it comes to a strong moral code, family values ââand cars, it seems pretty clear that Panam Palmer is Cyberpunk 2077‘s Dom Toretto / Vin Diesel.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
