Cyberpunk 2077’s next big update could be out very soon

It looks like a big update might be coming Cyberpunk 2077 in the very near future. Fans on the Cyberpunk subreddit noticed that the construction for Cyberpunk 2077 has been updated on SteamDB for the first time since October. Forbes seems to believe the move could indicate CD Projekt Red is gearing up for the game’s next big patch. In November, the developer revealed that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game would launch “alongside another major update for all platforms” in the first quarter of 2022. Considering this, it certainly seems like both could be releasing in the near future!

Earlier this month, rumors began circulating about a February 2022 launch window for Cyberpunk 2077of the next update, alongside next-gen versions. A developer from CD Projekt Red claimed that the leak “doesn’t add up”, but the release window still seems like a definite possibility.

Cyberpunk 2077 launched in late 2020, after years of hype. While the PC version received mostly good reviews, the console versions were riddled with bugs and performance issues, which led to the game being removed from the PlayStation Store. Over the past year, CD Projekt Red has been working to put the game in a much better place, and it’s finally been reinstated on PlayStation’s digital storefront. Despite these improvements, the perception on Cyberpunk 2077 remains quite mixed. CD Projekt Red is well aware of this fact and seems to be looking for ways to turn the tide. It remains to be seen how cyberpunk We’ll remember when all is said and done, but it’s possible that future game updates will make the experience more enjoyable for players.
