Fan reactions have been mixed regarding the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.31, some are very satisfied with the various fixes made by the patch, others are concerned about the graphic fidelity especially with regard to street reflections and realism.
A Reddit user Cute-Conflict835 pointed out that the LOD vehicle distance has been reduced to 150m which made all cars further away very fake and lego-like when zoomed in. He then argued that he would rather have fewer cars on the road than sacrifice graphics fidelity, most reviews agree with that sentiment.
Another Reddit LFDT user uses various comparison photos of the same streets in the game before and after the update, which shows that the glare has been significantly reduced or looks much more glassy in a way. Others, however, defend the game by saying that it just looks more realistic on the whole now.
It should be noted that update 1.31 had various benefits. There were several quest-related fixes, such as a fix for when Judy does not appear in her van on Jig-Jig Street during the Disaster mission and a solution for when Thorton Galena becomes invulnerable after the These boots are made for walking ‘ mission.
Update 1.31 also includes various gameplay, UI, and visual fixes. One important fix is ââthat the speed of stealth detection of enemies will now depend on the difficulty of the game, another would be when the weapon reload speed benefits slow reload time instead.
