Cyberpunk 2077 Mod adds a new area for players to explore

It will take some time for players to forget the experience of launching Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red’s dystopian sci-fi RPG has come under heavy criticism due to its buggy release. However, there were other complaints that fans had with the game when it was first released, one of which concerned Cyberpunk 2077 Night City, which wasn’t as vibrant as it could have been due to many buildings in the game being inaccessible and unexplorable.

Apart from a few key locations such as Cyberpunk 2077 Headquarters of Arasaka Corporation, there were not many buildings for a player to roam and explore at will. A modder on the Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus hopes to change that. Kratoes has created their own unofficial content patch mod for Cyberpunk 2077which brings a new interior space for players to find and move around in. Specifically, the mod unlocks the red, white, and used repair shop in Santo Domingo, which is just south of the river in the Night City industrial zone.

Entering the Repair Shop is not that easy, as a player will need to enter through a side alley before accessing an elevator that will allow them to enter. Once a player enters the garage, they will notice that the interior is not huge, but is well done. Cables are strewn across the floor, and there are tools, workbenches, and plenty of other things you’d expect to find in a futuristic repair shop. Plus, for those looking to loot the shop, there’s also a powerful sniper rifle to pick up. Although it is not one of Cyberpunk 2077 unique snipers, it can be a useful weapon to supplement a player’s arsenal.

Although the building is well-designed by Kratoes, there’s currently not much to do with it. It cannot become a player’s headquarters, for example. However, it is interesting that a modder managed to break in and modify one of the Cyberpunk 2077 buildings in order to give it a little more life, adding to the immersion of the game. Hopefully over time there will be more building renovations for Cyberpunk 2077giving every location in Night City a bit more life.

The modding community for Cyberpunk 2077 has been active since the game launched, and while many of these modders initially helped make the game work for as many players as possible, they are now creating unique and significant modifications to the game. A mod even brought back Cyberpunk 2077 the famous visuals of E3 2018, for example.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
