Cyberpunk 2077 has a new Quest Director, who participated in some of The Witcher 3’s most notable story arcs.
It has been almost a year now that Cyberpunk 2077 launched, and it still has not succeeded in shaking the controversy associated with it. While the game was billed as a generation-defining RPG, it launched with a host of issues that caused fans to react. While technical issues persisted despite fixes from CD Projekt Red, fans have also requested updates on expansions and new quests. For these fans, Cyberpunk 2077 has a new quest director.
PaweÅ Sasko, who was previously the lead quest designer for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, now takes over as Cyberpunk 2077quest director. Sasko is a game industry veteran with years of experience, so his expertise will no doubt come in handy when working on new content for Cyberpunk 2077.
One of the most notable examples of Sasko’s work is The Witcher 3The famous Bloody Baron questline, in which Sasko had a direct hand alongside writer Karolina Stachyra. The Bloody Baron is one of the most acclaimed story arcs to feature in The Witcher 3, which is praise considering how well the narrative and the game world have been received in the six years since its launch. With the new role, Sasko might be able to bring that same level of quest design to over Cyberpunk 2077future content of.
Sasko also has a well-demonstrated love for Cyberpunk 2077, as it airs the game every Sunday, answering questions from fans and offering a glimpse into how the game was designed. It is not uncommon for developers to share such stories, although seeing a developer who is passionate about their work is always positive.
However, Cyberpunk 2077 is still in an interesting place right now. CD Projekt continues to cut corners on technical fixes for the game’s whitelisting of issues, issues that have altered public perception of the game – and even CD Projekt Red itself – sour. This leaves the studio between a rock and a hard place as fans demand new content, but there are still a few fixes to be made that should take priority.
Whether or not Cyberpunk 2077 will be the game it was meant to be is a matter of debate, but CD Projekt Red seems to be doing its best to capture the original vision. Although there is still a long way to go, measures like this promotion and hiring The Witcher 3 modders to create better mod support for Cyberpunk 2077 are two examples of things going in the right direction.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development.
