Coheed and Cambria share cyberpunk-inspired lyrical video to beat new track Shoulders

Coheed And Cambria are back with a lyric video for their brand new single Shoulders.

This is Coheed’s first new music since the 2020s Jessie’s daughter 2 collaboration with Rick Springfield – a song that followed their 2018 album Celestial creatures.

Speaking about the new track, Coheed And Cambria singer and guitarist Claudio Sanchez explains, “In art, in your career, in relationships… no matter how much you give of yourself or try, you have to accept that everything in life can not be a perfect fit. “

In a recent interview with Consequence of sound, Sanchez gave some clues as to how they are approaching their new album.

He said: “A lot of times with bands that have been around and built a solid fan base like we’ve done, I think there might be a tendency, intentionally or not, to try and give fans this. that they want and not to take too many risks.

“But after making music for so long and going into a pandemic, we didn’t want limitations on the creative process. The next album will be what I hope people will perceive from this band in 2021/2022.

“It’s a modern record. It’s a Coheed And Cambria record, but it looks forward, not back.

The liberation of Shoulders comes a month after Coheed And Cambria announced a headlining U.S. tour with The Used. The 18-date series will begin in Los Angeles on August 27 and end on September 24 in Jacksonville.
